We're currently blogging out of Nanning, China. Internet (at least the free kind) has been a little hard to come by on this trip so far. This is the first time the internet had been included with our room fare.
Nearly a week into our marathon trip back to our roots, we've managed to sightsee Hong Kong and Guilin. We managed to see an interactive waterfall (one in which you can actually climb up several of its drops) as well as a truly underground waterfall. Both of these were in the Guilin area.
The purpose of visiting Nanning was to see the Detian Waterfall, which we hope to be seeing tomorrow.
Aside from the sightseeing, it was kind of nice to try to improve on our Chinese - both written and spoken. It was also interesting speaking with some of the locals that we happened to meet along the way. We can really get the sense of history of this place intertwined with the day-to-day happenings.
Indeed, it has been a fun trip so far. We hope the positive momentum continues...
