We're now in the next leg of our marathon China/Japan trip.
We're currently blogging out of Guiyang, China in the Guizhou Province.
Today has been a pretty uneventful day so we've used this time to try to get caught up on errands while using the remaining time to get a feel for the city of Guiyang.
Tomorrow, we're going to perhaps China's most famous waterfall - the Huangguoshu (Yellow fruit tree) Waterfall.
The past couple of days were dedicated to seeing the Detian Waterfall, which we managed to see. It was thoroughly hot, humid, and full of mosquitoes there. But the falls were flowing gracefully albeit a bit below average.
We also saw the Shatun Waterfall on the way to the Detian Waterfall.
Even though the falls had low flows, the shapely gorges and karst mountains surrounding them really made these waterfalls stand out.
Stay tuned for more updates as the trip progresses...
