This bit of news caught me off guard. Apparently, fiscal problems are also affecting parts of rural New York, and the planned closure of Chittenango Falls is a wake-up call for waterfall lovers and businesses dependent on the tourism traffic. What's to happen next is anyone's guess, but apparently fans of the waterfall are trying to muster up support using social networking. Check out the story here. We certainly hope they succeed.
